Christmas came early to our classroom last week, complete with shiny paper and Christmas songs. We were designing Christmas cards and some children were lucky enough to have their parents along to help them because it was open afternoon.
Parents had the chance to order cards based on their child's design during parents evenings in October. See Mrs Fielder for further details.
The designs above are by Alex, Kirk and Henry.
This week as a school we marked World Mental Health Day by wearing something yellow and raising money for the charity Young Minds. Nearly £100 was raised.
In Woodpeckers we talked about what to do if things are difficult and how to try to feel better. We came up with messages which we have written on pieces of bunting. These will be displayed in the classroom to help us stay positive.
