Some homework writing about our day in Salisbury Cathedral

On Friday 23rd March, Woodpeckers visited Salisbury Cathedral for a day of drama.  We spent the morning preparing scenes from Holy Week, including Jesus arriving in Jerusalem, The Last Supper, in the garden of Gethsemane.  In the afternoon, with the addition of a professional actor who played Jesus, we performed the events of Holy Week under the spire of the Cathedral.  It was a very moving and powerful experience and Woodpeckers performed their parts really well.

Woodpeckers took part in a workshop on the sights and sounds of Easter with The Bridge.  We used props to retell the events of Holy Week and we thought about what we might see and hear.
