10th December. Robins visited a local care home today to sing Christmas carols and nursery rhymes to the residents. They used the makaton signs they had been taught when singing some of the songs. The residents really enjoyed listening to Robins sing and wished us all a Merry Christmas.

30th November 2018. What a brilliant forest school session we had today. Robins challenge was to build tall towers out of sticks and tall towers we did build! Great team work and problem solving.
Thank you to those mums who came to stay and play this morning. It really is such a lovely time to see what your child gets up to at school. This session happens every Friday morning so if you couldn’t make it this morning then hopefully we’ll see you next week.

Here is a little sneak peek as to what Robins will be performing at St Thomas’s Church on Wednesday. We are looking forward to seeing lots of parents there on Wednesday. They are doing some great singing and signing 👍🏻
Last Friday Robins won the attendance certificate for the third time already since September. What a great start to the year Robins, keep it up!
16th November 2018. Fantastic Forest Friday! Wow what an amazing afternoon Robins had, it was our first day doing Forest Friday where we explored the secret garden with Mr Adlam (Cat) and Mr Thomas (Hamster). Robins first challenge was to find Hamster as he had hidden the biscuits, they explored high and low trying to find him with no luck so they had to carefully listen for the whistle. Finally they found Hamster and enjoyed a biscuit, they then had the chance to explore, the slide was a big hit with many muddy bottoms and hands to add to the fun, the rope swing was great too and not forgetting cuddles with Scruff. We really cannot wait for our adventures next week 🍂☀️🐶🌿🍄🍂🥀🍪
Friday Forest Fun slide.............
Mr Adlam and Scruff enjoying the slide too 😊🐶
Thursday 18th October. Robins had a great time using clay and conkers to make conker snails. First they had to manipulate the clay to make the shape of a snail, then they used the conker as the shell. Once the clay had dried they used very special shiny paint and teeny weeny paintbrushes to neatly paint the conker snails.
On Friday St Martins raised money for Hello Yellow and we had a day dressed as Yellow, they all looked like rays of sunshine ☀️ for the day and what a wonderful day we had. Robins made special Yellow cornflake cakes for our cake sale. They all loved it and got really stuck in. They explored the changes the chocolate made when melted and they got to decorate a cake each. I hope you got the chance to buy and eat your cake at the cake 🎂 sale 😁☀️️🎂
This morning Robins had the pleasure of being partnered up with a Woodpecker, this will happen every Friday. They shared their books together, played I spy and went over their sounds. This was their first proper pairing up and they were all fantastic. We are looking forward to next Friday already!
5th October, this week Robins have been thinking about food so today we had a tasting day. They smelt, cut up and tasted some delicious fruit deciding whether they liked it or not.
Phonics parent workshop power point for those parents who missed it this morning, thank you again to those who came along!
We are all the same....... we are all different....... Robins 😊☀️
3rd October 2018. This morning when talking about the date we discussed the seasons, when we did we realised that we didn’t know much about autumn. So today we decided to have an autumnal day, we went to Harvest festival at church, followed by a scavenger hunt around the school looking for autumn leaves to create an amazing autumn collage, we did autumn colouring and finished off by watching a video looking at how the seasons change. What a beautiful autumn day to celebrate ☀️🍂🌾
Start the Music, Robins enjoyed their first music session with Mrs Parson and they were amazing at joining in with the movements and actions as well as learning some new songs. I hope you enjoy the videos too 😊 28th September 2018
