In history we learned that the Anglo Saxons made coil pots out of clay. They made long sausages of clay and built up the sides of the pot. Then they smoothed the outside and finally they pressed shapes in to the smooth clay to decorate. We enjoyed making our pots but we found the shaping and smoothing quite hard.
We enjoyed making sword models out of card. We had to cut carefully around all the outlines and then fold all of the dotted lines. The more careful we were at this stage, the better our sword. The best bit to make was the blade and we all found the handle really tricky to do.
