This week in Woodpeckers we have been thinking about Epiphany. We know that this marks when the Magi visited Jesus, having followed a star. We learned the song 'We three kings of Orient are'. We copied some Christmas card pictures of those wise men travelling in a caravan across the desert. We thought about the gifts which they brought (gold, frankincense and myrrh) and we talked about the gifts which we can offer (ourselves, our time and our love). We did a division design maths challenge, where the picture was a camel. We also walked to St Martin's church and took part in an Epiphany service led by Father David and organised by Mrs Lilley.
