Welcome to Robins class 2020-2021!
Starting school is an exciting time: a time filled with new friends, new experiences and new places.
In Robins class, our aim is to provide a safe and anxiety-free environment where your child can play, experiment, investigate and learn. We will encourage your child to learn and develop their skills and knowledge, through first-hand experience and an environment filled with talk to help them gain a sound understanding of the world around them.
The Reception year is a unique and important time in that it marks the end of your child’s early education at home and in nurseries/ play settings, and the beginning of your child’s school journey.
We are so pleased with the way that Robins class children have settled, especially as they were not able to have any significant opportunities to get to know the classroom before starting.
Well done also to the families! You have helped your child to feel safe and secure in starting school, which has been demonstrated in the way they have managed their new school routines so well.
You are very important this year and we are here to help you and your child.
Below are some webpages and documents which may help to support you and your child at the beginning of their school journey, but if you are concerned or need some more help, please come and talk to us
There are also links below to different sections of this Robins class page where you can find reading and phonics support, maths support and all sorts of other useful things!
Why not try it out and see what your child thinks?

They have also provided a letter to parents which will give further details. I will post this above.
It has been so wonderful to see the children settle so quickly into school life. They have achieved so much in Term 1. Learning to read, say and write letter sounds, counting, sharing information about themselves and learning about people who help us at home, in school and in the local community. We hope you all have a restful half-term break and see you all on Monday 4th November.
