We enjoyed our class visit to the Tutankhamun Exhibition in Dorchester. We were able to share our knowledge of the boy pharoah and we learned a great deal more. It was amazing to see the replicas of the sarcophagus and the treasures from inside the tomb.
Lots of us also enjoyed the mummies exhibition, where we learned about embalming and the use of canopic jars.
Thank you to all our parents, grandparents, family and friends who came to watch our performance in the Salberg at Salisbury Playhouse. We very much enjoyed performing our Milford Street Mural play, all about the characters on the mural under the bridge and based on the oral histories which were recorded during the project. Every member of our class had a speaking part and, although it was quite scary, we think we performed it really well.
Some of us would like to do more acting so we are looking forward to having our school hall back in use - along with the stage and the costumes currently trapped inside!
