Welcome to Sparrows
2020-2021
Class teacher - Miss Sprague
Teaching assistants - Mrs Smith, Mrs Shaw and Mrs Hayward
Mrs Cook teaches Wednesday afternoons
Week beginning 25/05/20
It is now technically half term and a chance for you to take a break from your home learning. It looks like we're in for some warm weather this week so I hope lots of you will enjoy some time outdoors whilst staying safe from the sun. If you do want to squeeze some learning into your half term break our science topic for next term is going to be based on plants so why don't you see what different plants you can find and identify in your garden or when you're out and about. Or perhaps you could learn the names of some common trees and see how many different species you can spot when out on a walk. However you spend your time I hope you are all keeping safe, happy and healthy and enjoying some quality time with your families.
I am thinking of and missing you all,
Miss Sprague
Sparrows -
It was lovely to speak to some of you and your parents on the phone this week. I enjoyed hearing about some of the things you've been getting up to and was happy to hear you are all safe and well. Don't forget you can send pictures of some of the things you've been doing to socialmedia@st-martins.wilts.sch.uk if you want them to appear on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
Next week's home learning has been posted below (week beginning 4th May).
Keep safe, happy and healthy.
Miss Sprague
Why not try it out and see what your child thinks?
This is the link to the youtube channel:

They have also provided a letter to parents which will give further details. I will post this above.
Good morning all,
I have been made aware that though you have your child's individual log in for Abacus this did not contain the school code needed to log on so here it is:
pjp7
Hope this helps!
Thanks for getting in touch regarding this issue.
Miss Sprague
Sparrows,
I hope you are all staying safe and healthy and making the most of some down-time with your families. It is good to see that some of you are already making good use of the online resources such as Reading Eggs and Teach Your Monster To Read.
I will be aiming to update this page weekly with some ideas of activities and projects to do at home. Of course, these will not be compulsory - they are simply suggestions. Although teachers will not be viewing children's work over this period, children are more than welcome to bring in any completed work, projects or photos when we return to school for a 'show & tell'.
Stay safe,
Miss Sprague
