The story of Abraham and practising archery

Acting out the story of Abraham

In RE (Religious Education) our term question is: What makes Jewish people believe they have a special relationship with God?  We have talked about the story of Noah and the Ark.  This week we learned about Abraham from Genesis Chapter 17.  We know that Abraham is considered the founder of Judaism and we learned about the promise which God made to him.

We enjoyed acting out the story of Abraham, from counting the stars in the sky, through to the birth of his son Isaac.

We are learning archery in PE

We have learned how to hold the bow and arrow in archery.  This week we focused on distance and power and tried to shoot arrows in to the target from a short distance and then a longer distance.  Some of us are getting really good at hitting the target.
